Preparation:
- Take about 3 glasses of water in a fresh pot and keep It on stove.
- Add 1 teaspoon full of salt to the water.
- Take 1.5 glasses of Leaned Basmati rice.
- Put the basmati rice into the water.
- Mix the rice well with the water and salt.
- Check the rice to see if it has properly cooked.
- When the rice is ready, drain off the excess water and let it rest.
- Take a fresh pan and add 1 tablespoon of oil to it.
- Add 2 teaspoons of butter to the oil.
- Take 1 Green Chilly and add it to the pan.
- Add 1 teaspoon of ginger (shredded) to the mix.
- Add 1 teaspoon of garlic to the pan.
- Sauté the ingredients well together.
- Chop and add 1 onion to the mix.
- Add 1 chopped carrot to the pan.
- Chop and add 1 capsicum to the pan.
- Stir fry the vegetables for about 3 minutes.
- Add 1 chopped tomato to the mix.
- Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the pan.
- Sauté the ingredients inside the pan well.
- Take some boiled potatoes, peas and cauliflower and add them to the pan.
- Put 1 teaspoon Kasuri Methi to the pan.
- Add a handful of coriander leaves to the pan.
- Take 2 teaspoon of Pav Bhaji Masala and add it to the pan.
- Let the vegetables cook. They will start soaking in the delicious flavours.
- Add ½ a glass of water to the pan.
- Mix it well.
- Now its time to mash the vegetables into small chunks for better texture. Take a large spatula and press the vegetables gently.
- Now cook the mashed vegetables on low flame, stir to mix them together.
- Add another teaspoon of Pav Bhaji masala to the pan.
- Add 1 teaspoon butter.
- Put 1 teaspoon Kashmiri Mirchi Powder to the mix.
- Mix the spices well with the mashed vegetables.
- Now add the basmati rice that you boiled earlier.
- Mix it gently with the vegetables till the rice is evenly spread throughout.
- While serving ensure you serve both parts of the dish, namely the vegetables and the rice.
- Serve it with fresh cut lemon. Your Hot and delicious Tawa Pulao is ready to be served.
