Follow these steps (Summer Drinks Kulukki Sarbath @ Palakkad Kerala)

  1. To prepare the Sarbath, take about 2 teaspoon Sabja seeds and add them to a cup.
  2. Add some water to this cup containing the seeds.
  3. Allow the seeds to soak for about 5 minutes.
  4. Take up a lemon.
  5. Slice the lemon in 2 equal halves.
  6. Squeeze out the lemon juice out of ½ a lemon inside a fresh cup.
  7. Remove any lime seeds that may have dropped into the cup.
  8. Take a glass and fill it half with water.
  9. Add the other half of the sliced lemon.
  10. Cut off the ends of a Green Chilli.
  11. Dip the slit green chilli inside the glass.
  12. Pour the lime juice that was squeezed out earlier.
  13. Add 2 teaspoons full of sugar to the glass.
  14. Take a pinch of salt and mix it nicely with the drink.
  15. Add a few ice cubes to freeze out the summer heat.
  16. Take the Soaked sabja seeds and add about 1.5 teaspoon into the glass.
  17. Use another glass on top of this one to cover it up.
  18. Shake it well with your hands for a uniform taste.
  19. Your delicious Sarbath is ready to fight out the heat for you.
