Recipe Instructions of Rice Flour Snacks Recipe:

Preparation:

  1. Take a fresh bowl and add 1 sliced onion to it.
  2. Add ½ a cup of chopped cabbage to the bowl
  3. Chop 1 green chilli and add it to the bowl
  4. Add a few curry leaves into the mix.
  5. Put ½ tablespoon salt into the bowl.
  6. Add ½ a cup of rice flour to the bowl.
  7. Add 2 tablespoons Maida flour into the bowl.
  8. Combine all these ingredients well.
  9. Add sufficient water into the bowl and prepare a dough.
  10. The dough for your Easy Rice Flour Vada is ready. Now we have to cook it.
  11. From the bowl, take out a small ball of dough.
  12. Flatten the ball of dough in between your hands.
  13. Give it a small disc like shape.
  14. Prepare a few such moulds with your dough and place them evenly.
  15. Take a fresh pan with hot oil and Deep fry your dough disc.
  16. Remember to fry them only on a medium flame.
  17. Vadas turn Golden Brown and crispy when ready.
  18. Take them out of the oil.
  19. Serve them hot, serve them crisp, serve them fresh.

NOTE:
• If you have run out of rice flour, don’t go out to buy some. Instead prepare the flour. Refer to various other Puviya recipes with rice flour as an ingredient for help.
• Using a Tissue paper as the base of your plate when you take out hot and ready Vadas fresh from the pan reduces the amount of oil your vadas contain, making them healthier.
• You can use a kneader to knead your dough. It is really important for perfect flavour and texture that the dough is kneaded properly and all the ingredients are mixed within the rice and Maida flour.
