Recipe Instructions of Karam Chutney For Dosa:
Preparation:
- To prepare the Chutney, take a mixer grinder and put 10 skinned garlic pieces into its jar.
- To keep things spicy, add about 9 Dry chilly.
- Dice and add about 2 small sized tomatoes
- Chop and add 1 small onion.
- Add ½ tablespoon of salt to the jar.
- Add ½ glass of water and close the lid.
- Blend the ingredients well till you get a paste like texture. Your Chutney made of garlic, tomato, onion and chilly is ready.
- Take a fresh pan and put it on the stove. Add 1.5 tablespoon of oil to the pan.
- Add ½ tablespoon of mustard seeds to the oil.
- Put in a few curry leaves.
- Take out the already prepared chutney from the jar and add it into the pan.
- Add ½ a cup of water.
- Mix the ingredients well.
- Cook for sometime on a medium flame.
- The oil will start separating. Turn off the gas when that happens.
- Now its time to prepare the Dosa Dough. Take a fresh bowl and put 2 cups of Dosa batter in it.
- Add ½ tablespoon of salt to the bowl.
- Add ¼ tablespoon of baking soda to make it fluffy.
- Add sufficient amount of water to the batter.
- Mix it well. You can use your hands or a kneader.
- Dosa Batter is prepared.
- To prepare the Dosa, take a frying pan and pour some Dosa batter on it. Spread the batter evenly to cook it evenly.
- Gently give the batter a Dosa like shape.
- You can add 1 tablespoon oil to prevent the Dosa from sticking to the surface of the pan.
- When cooked, pick it up from the pan. Your plain Dosa is ready.
- Now its time to add our chutney to the Dosa. Pour and spread some more batter evenly.
- When its spread evenly, add 1 egg worth yok to the pan.
- Add the karam chutney to the Dosa. Place it beside the egg.
- Spread the egg and the chutney evenly over the Dosa.
- Add 1 tablespoon of oil to prevent it from sticking.
- Flip it to cook it properly from both the sides.
- Your Dosa is ready to be served now. Use traditional banana leave to add an authentic south Indian feel to your south Indian meal.
