Recipe Instructions of Mysore Bonda Recipe Street Style :

Preparation of Mysore Bonda:

  1. Take a fresh bowl and add 1 cup Maida flour to it.
  2. Add ½ a teaspoon of Green Mirchi to it.
  3. Take half a handful curry leaves and add them to the bowl.
  4. Add ¼ teaspoon of salt to the mix.
  5. Put 1/4th of a teaspoon Baking Soda into the bowl.
  6. Add ½ teaspoon Cumin seeds to the bowl.
  7. Pour 1 tablespoon of oil into the bowl.
  8. Add 2 tablespoons of curd into the bowl.
  9. Combine these ingredients well.
  10. Add water that is enough to make a consistent batter.
  11. Mix in the water for 2 minutes.
  12. Let it rest for 10 minutes. This is where the fragmentation will make it airy.
  13. The batter is ready. Take a small ball worth of batter.
  14. Put it in hot oil for deep frying.
  15. Flip to fry from both sides. Set the flame to medium setting.
  16. Keep stirring.
  17. Take out and serve when they take a golden brown colour. Your delicious Mysore Bonda is ready.

Notes to remember:
• Green Mirchi can be added as both, either chopped or in the form of paste.
• Use napkin to reduce the oil content in your Bondas, to make them healthier and tastier. Paper napkin absorbs all the excess oil out of anything put on it.
• The baking Soda makes your bondas fluffy. Ensure you add it in given amount or they might become too airy or too chewy.
