Preparation:

  1. There is no bread without yeast. Take a fresh bowl and add 1 tablespoon dry yeast to it.
  2. To the dry yeast, add 1/3 cup of fresh water.
  3. Mix them well.
  4. Let it rest. The yeast begins its action after about 5 minutes.
  5. Add 1.5 cups of Maida into the bowl.
  6. Add 1 tablespoon full of butter.
  7. Take powered sugar and add 2 tablespoons worth of it into the bowl.
  8. Add 1/8th of a tablespoon of salt into the mixture.
  9. Mix all the ingredients inside the bowl well.
  10. Add sufficient milk for kneading the batter into a dough.
  11. Start kneading the batter.
  12. When the dough starts taking form, add 1 tablespoon oil to it.
  13. Mix the oil with the dough.
  14. Knead it for about 10 minutes more.
  15. Soft, ready to bake dough is prepared.
  16. Add another ½ tablespoon oil to the dough and mix.
  17. Cover the dough with a lid and let it rest for about an hour.
  18. Take a fresh bread pan. Apply butter to its surface and sides.
  19. Layer the bottom of the pan with Maida flour.
  20. Uncover lid to check on the dough. Your dough would have increased in size. This is due to the action of the yeast.
  21. Knead this dough again for a few minutes.
  22. Once finished, give it a long cylindrical shape.
  23. Cut the dough into smaller pieces. We will bake each dough piece into a pav.
  24. Tuck and roll the small pieces.
  25. Give it shape. Each small portion should barely fit the palm of your hand.
  26. Place your dough pieces inside the bread pan. If you have extra dough left with you, place it in any steel cup.
  27. Apply butter over your dough.
  28. Cover the pan with a foil and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
  29. Uncover the pan. You will notice a rise in the dough.

  31. Bake for about 20 minutes on micro + convection setting.
