But one must ask himself (or herself), what is tea without a plate of warm biscuits.
We at team Puviya understand the importance of your evening tea and hence we have brought you today something that is a little bit crispy, a little bit creamy and all the dreamier when served with a warm cup of tea. Recipe Instructions of Atta Biscuit Recipe at Home:
Preparation:
- To a fresh bowl, add 1 cup wheat flour (Atta).
- Add ½ cup sugar powder into the bowl.
- Add a pinch of salt to the flour.
- Add 1 tablespoon ghee to the bowl.
- Mix these ingredients well.
- Add enough milk so to prepare a smooth dough.
- Start mixing the ingredients once again.
- Knead the flour so as to prepare a smooth dough.
- Your dough is prepared. Now it’s time to give it a biscuit like shape.
- Take a small portion of your dough.
- Roll the dough gently on a surface.
- Keep rolling till the dough flattens out. Ensure that it’s not too thick.
- From this flattened out dough, cut a square shape portion and keep it aside.
- Cut a few more of such square portions. Keep the residual dough back in your bowl so as to reuse it and to minimise the waste.
- Gently press these portions with the pointed end of a fork to decorate them. This design will also ensure that our biscuits cook properly.
- Prepare a few more portions by repeating the above steps. Make enough to fill a plate.
- Sprinkle them evenly with sugar. Avoid adding it in excess.
- Take a fresh pan that has been subjected to medium flame. Add some oil to it.
- Place your square portions in the pan. Make sure they are immersed properly in the hot oil.
- Flip them to fry them properly from both sides.
- You will notice that your dough has started to change colour and your biscuits are finally ready to taken out of the pan.
- When golden brown in colour, take the biscuits out and place them on a tissue paper. This will absorb any excess oil from the biscuits.
- Your delicious homemade Atta biscuits are ready to take people’s heart away. Serve them away!!!
