Preparation of Mutton Masala:
- Take the mutton and place it in a fresh bowl.
- Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the mutton.
- Add 1/3rd of cup curd to the bowl.
- Mix it well with the mutton.
- Cover with a lid and let it marinate for about 20 minutes.
- To a fresh pan, add 1 teaspoon of ghee.
- Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan.
- Place 2 Bay Leaves in the centre of the pan.
- Add 2 pieces of cinnamon to the pan.
- Put 2 cloves into the mix.
- Add 3 cardamom seeds to the pan.
- Stir these ingredients.
- Add 1 cup full of sliced onion into this pan.
- Sauté the vegetables well.
- Add 1 teaspoon full of Ginger Garlic Paste to the mix.
- Stir it well.
- The onion will change its colour to golden brown after cooking.
- Put the marinated mutton into the pan.
- Stir the mutton on medium flame so that it mixes well with other flavours.
- Cook the ingredients in the pan for 5 minutes.
- Cover the pan with a lid and let the ingredients cook for another 10 minutes.
- Uncover the lid to add another ½ teaspoon of salt.
- Add ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder to the pan.
- Add 1 teaspoon coriander powder to the mix.
- Add 1 teaspoon Mirchi Powder to the mix.
- Add 1 teaspoon Mutton Masala to the pan.
- Mix these ingredients well.
- Cook for about 7 minutes.
- Add 1 small tomato worth tomato paste into the pan.
- Mix it well.
- Add 1.5 glasses of water to the pan.
- Allow the mutton to cook for another 10-12 minutes.
- Add 2 teaspoons of Garam Masala to the pan.
- Add some coriander leaves for garnishing.
- About after 5 minutes of garnishing, sauté the mutton well with a spatula.
- Your delicious mutton masala is ready and can now be served.
