Instant Garam Masala Powder

Ingredients for Instant Garam Masala (½ Cup)
- 
Coriander Seeds – 2 tbsp 
- 
Cumin Seeds – 1 tbsp 
- 
Black Peppercorns – 1 tbsp 
- 
Green Cardamoms – 5–6 pods 
- 
Cloves – 8–10 
- 
Bay Leaves – 2 
- 
Cinnamon Stick – 1 small piece 
- 
Nutmeg – ½ small piece 
- 
Black Cardamom – 1 (optional) 
- 
Star Anise – 1 (optional) 
- 
Mace – 1 piece (optional) 
Preparation Method
- 
Dry Roast the Spices – In a pan, roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black pepper, cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaves, nutmeg, and optional spices on low flame for 2–3 minutes until fragrant. 
- 
Cool Completely – Let the roasted spices cool to room temperature to preserve aroma. 
- 
Grind to Fine Powder – Transfer the cooled spices into a blender or mixer and grind into a smooth, fine powder. 
- 
Store Fresh – Keep in an airtight jar. Stays aromatic for 2–3 months.
