Directions
Sarva Pindi or Tapala Chakka is a traditional dish from the state of Telangana. It is mostly consumed as an evening snack. It can also play the same role as chapati (the traditional Indian bread) in any cuisine. Not only this, but even for breakfast Sarva Pindi serves as the perfect dish to serve. It is enjoyed by adults as well as children and can be a sneaky way to make kids finish their vegetables. In Telangana it is a common practise to add chopped vegetables such as cabbage, capsicum to the dough so as to make these vegetables a part of the savoury rice flour pancake. So, we can say that Sarva Pindi is a salty, delicious rice flour pancake that is easy to customise, easy to eat and easy to serve to the children.

Preparation:
- Take ¾ cup of rice flour and add it to a fresh bowl.
- To the flour, add about 2 tablespoons of roasted peanuts.
- Add 2 tablespoons soaked Chana dal to the bowl.
- Add 1 tablespoon sesame seeds into the mix.
- Chop and add 1 Green chilli to the bowl. Small sized chilli would be sufficient for moderate hotness in your Sarva Pindi.
- Add 1 tablespoon of Ginger Garlic Paste to your bowl.
- Put in half a handful of curry leaves to your flour.
- Add another half handful of coriander leaves to the bowl.
- Add ½ tablespoon of Red chilli powder.
- Add ¼ tablespoon of salt to the bowl.
- Mix these ingredients well inside the bowl.
- Add sufficient amount of water. Keep in mind that you need to knead a dough.
- Knead the flour into a dough.
- Your dough is ready to be turned into delicious Sarva Pindi.
- Take a steel Wok and add ½ tablespoon oil.
- Spread this oil evenly throughout the surface of the Wok.
- Take some dough and place it inside the wok. To spread it evenly, pat it with your palm.
- Spread the dough into a thin pancake like shape.
- Poke holes into your flattened dough so as to keep a proper circulation of heat.
- Take a tablespoon of oil and pour it in the holes.
- Let it fry for about 4 minutes on medium flame. During this time, cover your wok with a lid.
- Uncover the lid. Your dough has cooked into a delicious, aromatic Sarva pindi or Tapala Chakka .
- Serve it hot and fresh.
