It is always said ‘Precaution is better than cure’ but the truth is there is no accurately known way to prevent cough and cold. Now the only way we are left with is to find its cure.

Let us find out some ingredients to make a perfect cure for this trouble.

Ginger Tea for Cold:

To start with we have ginger, an ingredient from the family of spices. It is used widely as a folk medicine. It not only helps in easing the cold but also relieves nausea and pain and even lowers the risk of cancer.

Pepper Tea for Sore Throat:

Next we have black pepper in the list- Another ingredient from a group of spices. It helps to de-clog the passage of nose and reduces chest congestion and also gives relief for sore throat.

Ginger Pepper Tea:

To mix the two ingredients let us use milk which is rich with nutrients. This liquid is rich in protein and calcium, helps to strengthen bones and prevents weight gain.

Recipe Instructions of Ginger Tea for Cold:

Let us prepare!

  1. Take 1/2 glass of water in a saucepan.
  2. Grate 1 teaspoon of ginger.
  3. Add the ginger paste to the pan.
  4. Add 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper powder.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of tea powder.

Time to turn on the flame!

  1. Put the pan on flame and boil the ingredients for 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. And you are ready with the tea decoction.
  3. Add 1 glass of milk to the pan.
  4. Boil again for 2 minutes.
  5. Add 2 teaspoon of sugar.
  6. Stir the ingredients.
  7. And you are ready with a perfectly boiled tea.
  8. Filter the tea in a kettle.
  9. Pour it in a glass from a height to get a thick foamed tea.
  10. You are ready with a soothingly refreshing beverage.

Note:

• Ginger is not recommended for children under 2 years old.
• It is not recommended to have more than one gram of ginger extract per day for pregnant lady.
• For a normal person 3 to 4 grams of ginger extract is recommended per day.
• Don’t consume more than 1 to 2 teaspoon of black pepper per day.
• You can either use ready-made black pepper powder or can grind 2 to 3 black pepper seeds for the tea.
• Change the amount of sugar based on your taste.
• You can have honey as a substitute of sugar which is another known ingredient for soothing a sore throat and even boost the capabilities of black pepper. Sugar adds on calories and results in weight gain, blood pressure and risk of heart attack. Replacing sugar with honey will also help to prevent these effects.
